Dear Friends and Colleagues,
It gives me great pleasure inviting you to the 8th Indochina Ocular Inflammation and infection meeting to be held in Kathmandu, Nepal on November 16-18, 2023. After 2 years of hiatus not holding the meeting due to COVID-19, it is great that we can hold the meeting in person in capital city of Nepal. The city is known for superb culture, friendly people, and amazing historic sites.
Primary focus of the meeting will be educational, interactive, and clinical case-based presentations. The topics covered will include uveitis and related intraocular inflammations of non-infectious and infectious etiologies and pathogenesis. In addition, optic nerve and orbital inflammations and scleritis will be covered. Novel and evolving treatments including immunomodulatory agents and biolocals will be covered. Furthermore, tailored diagnostic laboratory investigations and current imaging will be emphasized to support diagnosis, interventions and prognosis.
The Indochina meeting speakers include academic ophthalmologists with national and international expertise in diagnosis and treatment of challenging ocular inflammatory diseases. I am glad to state that speakers will be from United States, Thailand, India, Malaysia, Europe, Japan and Singapore. As in the past Indochina meeting is fashioned to facilitate interaction of the participants with the speakers during the meeting hours and subsequently during social events organized by the meeting host, Dr. Sanyam Bajimaya, President of Nepal Vitreo-Retina Society and Dr. Somsiri Sukavatcharin, organizer of Indochina Ocular Inflammation Study Group (ICOISG).
On behalf of Indochina Ocular Inflammation Study Group faculty, I urge you to take part in the meeting with goal of enhancing your clinical skills in current management of ocular inflammations. Look forward to seeing you in Kathmandu.

On behalf of the Nepal Vitreo-Retina Society (NVRS), it is our great pleasure to welcome everyone to join the 7th Nepal Vitreo-Retina Society's Annual Conference in conjunction with the 8th Indo-China Ocular Inflammation Study Group meeting on November 16-18, 2023, in Kathmandu. We are inviting eminent international speakers who have done a lot of work and research in Retinal Disease and Uveitis. The meeting will provide new updates, advancements, and challenges in the management of Posterior Segment Disease and Uveitis.
Nepal contains large bio-cultural diversity, from the high Himalayan landscapes of Mt. Everest to the Mahabharata Range of valleys and plain terrains. There are eight World Heritage Sites in Nepal, including Pashupatinath and Swoyambhunath, and most of the monuments lie in the Kathmandu Valley. Similarly, Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha, is also among the World Heritage Sites. We also invite you to enjoy site-seeing and adventures of nature in our country.
